Aleaciones y Fundidos HM is a company committed to the quality and control of its iron castings. Its philosophy based on continuous improvement has led it to digitalization and to work with ALEA, our system for optimising foundries.
Their work during these months of implementation of the system has been enormous and their progress makes them a company with the capacity to take on larger and larger projects. Albert Tejón, Manager-Consultant of HM Alloys and Foundries answers us:
How has ALEA affected production times?
‘The implementation of the system has had a positive impact on production times. We have seen an improvement in operational efficiency, both in set-ups and loading times. It has also changed the way we keep track and trace of raw materials.’
Have you noticed differences in the casting and the adjustments you make to them?
‘Yes, we have noticed significant differences. The changes introduced by the new system have allowed for greater accuracy and consistency in the analysis, as well as greater control of the loading process and production times. This has reduced the time spent on manual adjustments’.
Have you had time to analyse the cost reduction?
‘We are in the process of carefully analysing the data related to cost reduction. Early indications are encouraging, showing a downward trend in a number of operating expenses. A crucial aspect is the possibility to increase the number of suppliers, which, combined with a thorough control of raw materials and their chemical analysis, will benefit us in the future and make us more competitive. The enthusiasm for the system and the first data are great’.
We would especially like to thank José Luis Gallego Caballero for choosing a production system like ours and congratulate him and his team for their flawless work.
